Fortnite, the popular Battle Royale game from Epic Games, had the opportunity to purchase so-called Founder's Packs in 2017. These offered players access to the Early Access Season, exclusive in-game events and a high value of things such as heroes, loot, weapons and in-game boosts.
Players who pre-ordered a Founder's Pack received a four-day head start from July 21, 2017, along with the exclusive Storm Master Weapon Pack. Additionally, Epic Games had a partnership with Gearbox Publishing to distribute a printed retail version of the game for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
The Founder's Packs were discontinued with the v13.20 update on June 29, 2020, as Save the World left Early Access. Players who owned a Founder's Pack saw their pack automatically upgraded to the next tier, without having to pay extra. Owners of the Ultimate Edition were compensated with 8,000 V-Bucks.
Each edition of the Founder's Pack includes Save the World. The only difference is in the additional reward that you get.

Legacy Founder's Pack
The Legacy Founder's Packs were available before and immediately after the official Early Access release of Fortnite on July 25th, 2017. Due to abuse related to the Friend Codes generated in these packs, Epic Games removed them on March 29th, 2018 from both the game and online stores. Epic Games confirmed on July 17th, 2018 that these packs would be available for a limited time, with the exception of the Ultimate Edition Founders Pack.
On October 22nd, 2018, Epic Games released a blog post titled "Save the World: State of Development" announcing that these packs would be available again for a limited time during a 50% sale.
On October 23rd, 2018, all Founders Packs returned and were available until November 6th, 2018. These packs returned again on December 19th, 2018 and were available until January 8th, 2019.
Again, they returned on February 6th, 2019 and remained available until mid-February. These packs returned again on April 12th, 2019.
