Receiver 2 is the official successor of the weapon simulation Receiver. The developer Wolfire Games, known for the action game Overgrowth, will release the first Receiver in 2012. The game will be played from the ego perspective. You fight in levels against drones. Unlike most shooters, however, the game is designed for realism.

In Receiver 2, similar to the predecessor Receiver, you have to learn how weapons work down to the last detail to be able to use them. The weapons were recreated as accurately as possible according to the manufacturer's instructions. To load one of the weapons, you either have to insert single bullets or fill magazines with bullets.
