In Scrap Mechanic, you are a robot system maintainer who makes sure that everything runs smoothly on a fully automated agricultural planet. But in an accident you involuntarily end up on the planet. Here, everything seems to work a little bit differently than you thought it would. Now you have to create vehicles, machines and systems from components to find your way around the planet. The game world is freely explorable in sandbox style. The materials that you need and can find in the sandbox are presented in a simplified way, so that everyone has the opportunity to become a mechanic and constructor. By freely combining parts, you can create normal vehicles and robots, but also crazy things like transformers and drivable houses. In free mode it's all about building, there are no real dangers lurking. But developer Axolot Games has announced a survival mode for 2020.
