Watch Dogs Legion - All information about the Ultimate Edition

This is what sets the Watch Dogs Legion Ultimate Edition apart

At Gamescom, "Watch Dogs: Legion" caught everyone's attention. In the now third part of the hacker series, players act less with a fixed protagonist than with the entire city! The resulting possibilities are gigantic and allow strategic game elements that have not existed in this form before. Especially when gamers buy the Ultimate Edition and take the game fun to a whole new level!

London lives and breathes

If we can trust the developers, "Watch Dogs: Legion" will provide the largest open world of all time. There are well over 9 million different characters in the game, all of which are linked to their own back story, an everyday life, preferences and skills. According to the game concept, it is even possible to recruit and add each individual NPC to your own party. Ambitious? Definitely!

The tough grandmother who caused a stir at E3 is just the beginning. In the game world you will find martial artists, drone experts or hedge fund managers who know how to score with financial support. It is already clear that hardcore gamers can rely on numerous game runs if they want to fully internalize the new part of the hacker series.

A question of recruitment

Grandmother Gwendoline used to program computers and has long since retired, only to fulminate in "Watch Dogs: Legion". So it's quite easy to forgive that there is no designated main character in the upcoming action game. Instead, players themselves give the marching orders with which they want to lead all of London into a better future.

It is precisely these many characteristics that provide variety and excitement in the five mission strands. Because the game doesn't make it that easy for us. So while every character can be recruited - occasionally individual tutoring is required. Not every NPC is positive towards the hacker group. But that doesn't matter: all citizens can be convinced in principle! And if only with a small donation, because the targeted member has fallen into a debt spiral due to job loss. One hand washes the other!

Problem solving of the creative kind

Once a AI character has decided to join the movement, he can be integrated in many ways. "Watch Dogs: Legion" offers three character classes: The Enforcer lives up to his name and primarily enters into combat with heavy weapons, the Infiltrator sneaks up on his targets unnoticed, and the Hacker represents a hybrid whose main task is to take over PC terminals.

In classic role-playing style, the different character points are leveled up over the long term. This gives the group members a range of special skills that are particularly advantageous in the second half of the game. The recruits are thus much more than just random pixels that are sent on a mission. They grow on you and score points with their unique features and properties.

Why it pays to buy the Ultimate Edition

After the release was initially dated for March 6, 2020, Ubisoft has now backtracked. The developers are to be given more time to create the best possible game. The new date is unknown and only planned for the second half of the year. It is unclear whether Ubisoft is deliberately waiting for the new console generation.

What is clear, however, are the contents of the Ultimate Edition. In addition to the game, buyers receive a Season Pass with DedSec car design, four legendary heroes and the mission "Not in our name". They also look forward to digital content such as the Urban Jungle Pack, the London System Critics Pack and a four-week VIP status.
