A Month Full of Experiences and Updates
It has been a month since the release of 9 Years of Shadows, and the development team has been working tirelessly to provide players with the best possible experience. Not only have numerous bugs been fixed and improvement suggestions implemented, but new language translations have also been added to make the game accessible to an even wider community.
More Languages for More Players
With the goal of making the captivating story of Europa accessible to as many players as possible, the team behind 9 Years of Shadows, in collaboration with a translation team, has localized the game in a total of eight languages. In addition to German, players can now immerse themselves in the world of Apino in French, Portuguese, Russian, Japanese, Chinese, Spanish, and English.
Bug fixes and improvements
The development team has been working hard in recent weeks to fix reported bugs and further optimize the gameplay of 9 Years of Shadows. Some of the key changes in the latest patch include:
- Fixed a crash caused by a memory leak in main character entities
- Fixed an elevator bug that allowed jumping or shooting in the background
- Fixed a collision error with a jellyfish-like enemy
- Fixed a collision error with the rays of the horned god that caused damage during the preparation phase
- Fixed a misalignment of some keys in the main elevator menu
- Fixed the background movement for elevator cinematics in the correct direction
- Corrected Hibano's response when attempting to improve Auriel's grace
- Fixed an additional collider on Shadow of Demise to prevent player blocking on the left side
- Fixed an error where the hit sound effect was not triggered on Shadow of Demise
- Corrected the map layout for special rooms
- Fixed the additional distortion effect when killing an enemy with a strong attack
- Unlocked the "Big Kitty" and "Fully Equipped" achievements retroactively
- Fixed the cursor missing during gameplay when using keyboard and mouse
Future updates and community feedback
The development team has announced that they will continue to work on fixing bugs and improving the player experience. They are grateful for the valuable feedback from players that helps them constantly improve the game.
