Amazon Video Game Streaming Service - The shipping giant will bring its new service for gamers in 2020

Amazon: New streaming service for video games with Twitch integration

Amazon is apparently working on its own streaming service for video games. The mail-order giant is already actively looking for employees to start the service as early as next year.

Start planned for 2020

The English-language magazine CNET recently published internal information about Amazon's planned streaming service. The Amazon Web Service team responsible for the streaming service is also responsible for Amazon's cloud offerings.

A first job posting has also been published: "We believe that the evolution that began with a quarter in arcade communities will lead to the livestreams and eSports of today, where everyone is a player and every player can create, compete, collaborate, and connect with others."

A Twitch integration is also planned. Amazon only bought the streaming service four years ago and since then has integrated it into various Amazon products, including the Prime service, which comes with a free Twitch subscription. This is similar to Microsoft's plans to integrate YouTube into its streaming project Google Stadia. It is conceivable that the streaming service will be linked to the Amazon Prime pay-per-view in the future. As early as the beginning of the year, Amazon had talks with the major publishers.

Not yet officially confirmed

There is no official announcement of the rumors yet. However, it is assumed that at the earliest next year more information will be published. After all, Amazon's streaming service for video games is to start next year.

Microsoft is also working on a similar project. Project xCloud is currently in beta and is primarily aimed at Xbox users. The game developer Electronic Arts is also said to be thinking about its own streaming offerings.
