Owners of the new Radeon RX 7000 series can update to Driver Version 22.12.2. This fixes problems with increased power consumption during video playback. This is already the second driver version for the new series within a few weeks. A statement was also made on the other known problems of the series. These are known and being closely looked at.
AMD knows the problems
Among the known problems is the high power consumption in idle mode in connection with high resolution and frame rate on multiple screens at the same time. The problems with Radeon Super Resolution (RSR) are also known and will be fixed soon.
Crash problems partially fixed
With the new driver, however, at least crash problems should be fixed in a multi-monitor setup with four monitors. When AMD will take care of the other problems is not yet known. But since all of these are known, AMD will not be able to afford to wait too long for further fixes.
