In the world of Enbesa, the island group inspired by Africa, his ruler, Emperor Ketema, is waiting for the player to lead his empire back to its former glory. In order to be able to cope in Enbesa, Blue Byte also gives the player new tools. We already know the probably biggest gameplay innovation from one of the most popular parts of the series: The irrigation system from Anno 1404. However, in Lion's Land, not a noria will water an entire area. Instead, the player has to extract the water from rivers with special buildings and distribute it over the island via manually created channels.
In addition, the new region of Enbesa also introduces two specific population levels. The Old World and Kap Trelawney are also supplemented with new residents.
