However, the new palace can only be built once per game and only at home, in the Old World. Significant impact on gameplay
However, it is not quite so easy to build the palace. After the arrival of the first investor on your island, the building is unlocked. Just the main building costs 1,000,000 dollars, 100 wood, 150 bricks, 150 steel beams, 120 mirrors and 200 concrete. In addition, 5,000 dollars in maintenance costs are due. In total, this allows you to set up to five ministries that unlock different bonuses. Over time, these can be further strengthened by expanding the palace and the city:
- Administration: You get additional workers.
- Culture: The probability of attracting specialists to the island increases.
- Work: higher productivity in production buildings.
- Welfare: more range for your public buildings.
- Trade: more storage space.
With these bonuses and the additional guidelines, the gameplay of Anno 1800 changes surprisingly much. Since many military conflicts in Anno 1800 are mainly due to the need to conquer new space, the palaces of power allow for a much more peaceful and economically centered game.
