The German Ubisoft studio Blue Byte released the seventh part of the Anno series with the construction strategy game Anno 1800 in April 2019. In terms of game mechanics, Anno 1800 is the direct successor to Anno 2205 and Anno 2070. However, the action in Anno 1800 was again set in the past. Players are immersed in the industrial age of the 19th century.
