Palaces, Lions, Tractors: Discover what's in store with the Anno 1800 Season 2 Pass
The Anno 1800 Season 2 Pass is the second expansion pack for the 2019 city-building strategy game Anno 1800. As with the previous games in the series, the goal in Anno 1800 is to build your own empire on a newly settled island, distinguished by a strong economy, diplomatic alliances, or a powerful army. It is very important to keep an eye on the needs of your islanders and to provide consumables and luxury goods that will keep them happy through appropriate production chains. Only then can you improve your technology and efficiently manage your island. A special feature of Anno 1800 is the setting at the beginning of the Industrial Revolution. If your island is still technologically stuck in the Middle Ages at the beginning, factories and new inventions such as railways will be introduced during the course of the game, changing your playing style.
Basically, there are two game modes in Anno 1800: an endless mode in which you have to build an island from scratch and can play for an unlimited amount of time, and a campaign mode in which you are thrown into an already running scenario and have to solve tasks.
The Anno 1800 Season 2 Pass: This is what's included
The Season 2 Pass includes three expansions for the Anno 1800 base game.
The first of the expansions, released on March 24, 2020, is called " Palaces of Power " and focuses on a new, central building for your island. If you are far along in your game (you must have an investor), you can build the first part of the palace. When deciding where to build the palace, keep in mind that it is a modular building. This means that you can add wings and departments to the central piece little by little, until your palace looks like a replica of the large, absolutist palaces of the Baroque era, à la Versailles. But the palace is not only beautiful, it also gives your island bonuses, such as new policies that you can enact once you have the appropriate wing.
