The game is set on an alien planet that was left unfinished by the gods. To make matters worse, most of the planet is inhabited by dangerous monsters, making peaceful coexistence impossible. The player takes on the role of a mercenary who tries to make the planet habitable in groups. In order to stand a chance against the overwhelming monsters, the mercenaries use Javelin exosuits. These highly developed suits not only allow the player to survive in the unreal environment, but also to fly using jetpacks.
In order to make group play more varied, the exosuits also have different classes and properties. For example, there is the Colossus, which is a kind of berserker, or the exact opposite as a agile Interceptor.
In order to continue to stand up to the increasingly strong monsters, the equipment and weapons must be constantly upgraded. The open world is explored in groups of four players or can also be explored alone.
