New Update for Age of Empires II: Definitive Edition
Attention, fans of real-time strategy! A recent update for "Age of Empires II: Definitive Edition" has brought us two additional campaigns, if you own the "Return of Rome" DLC. The two campaigns, "Glory of Greece" and "Voices of Babylon", were chosen through a community vote and are now ready to be played.
How to access the new campaigns
To access the new campaigns, you need to switch your game to "Return of Rome" and then navigate to the single-player option. From there, select the campaigns option and voilà - a fresh tab named "Return of Rome" will appear in the campaign menu.
What campaigns await you in "Return of Rome"?
In "Return of Rome," you have a total of seven exciting campaigns to choose from:
- Rise of Egypt
- Trajan
- Pyrrhus of Epirus
- Sargon of Akkad
- The First Punic War
- Glory of Greece (NEW)
- Voices of Babylon (NEW)
"Glory of Greece": Conquer like Alexander the Great
In the "Glory of Greece" campaign, you will fight to establish the Greek Empire and make history as one of the most powerful empires in the world. You will take command of the mighty armies of Alexander the Great and topple the walls of Troy during the Trojan War! The scenarios include: territorial claims, Acropolis, conquest of Crete, Trojan War, colonization of Ionia, siege of Athens, Xenophon's March, and Alexander the Great.
"Voices of Babylon": Free Babylon!
The "Voices of Babylon" campaign takes Babylon through its struggles for power. You will convince neighboring rising empires to join you and defend the border cities from raiders. Free Babylon from the oppression of the Assyrian invaders! The scenarios include: The Holy Man, Tigris Valley, Lost, I'll Be Back, The Great Hunt, The Caravan, Lord of the Euphrates, and Conquest of Nineveh.
