Hey survivors! Studio Wildcard has just announced some exciting changes for ARK: Survival Evolved. In an open letter to the community, the developers confirmed the plan to abolish the ARK Respawned Bundle. Instead, there will now be the ARK: Survival Ascended Package, which offers numerous contents for the game. Let's take a look.
The new ARK: Survival Ascended Package
The ARK Respawned Bundle was originally intended to offer two games for the price of one, but this proved to be a bad idea. Therefore, the ARK: Survival Ascended package will now be released as a standalone product on various platforms. This package contains many reworked and adapted contents for the next generation of consoles and PC.
Contents of the ARK: Survival Ascended Package
The ARK: Survival Ascended Package will include the following contents, each of which has been revised and adapted for the next generation:
- The Island (released at launch)
- Survival of the Fittest: The Island & Scorched Earth map variants (released at launch)
- Scorched Earth (released at launch)
- Aberration (release until Q4 2023)
- Extinction (release until Q1 2024)
- Genesis Part 1 (release until Q1 2024)
- Genesis Part 2 (release until Q2 2024)
In addition, all community-created maps are planned to be released throughout 2024, including Fjordur, Ragnarok, The Center, Lost Island, Valguero, and Crystal Isles.
Further Plans and Updates
In addition to the contents of the ARK: Survival Ascended Package, Studio Wildcard has also announced some further plans and updates for the game, including:
- Dynamic Navigation Mesh and Creature Pathfinding Overhaul
- Photo Mode
- Nvidia DLSS
- Dino/Baby Management QOL
- Wild Babies
- Improvements to Snap Points (new snaps, logic improvements)
- Improvements to Character Creation & Customization
- Crossplay & Full Blueprint Modding
This list is not exhaustive, and more features may be added over time. The Studio Wildcard team is working hard to continuously improve the player experience in ARK: Survival Evolved.
Outlook and Conclusion
Studio Wildcard has impressively shown that they listen to community feedback and make corresponding changes. Although the developers know that words alone may not be very meaningful, they promise that screenshots and gameplay trailers will be released in the near future. Additionally, more details will be shared over time. So stay tuned and look forward to exciting new features in ARK: Survival Evolved!
