With Contact, the developers of Bohemia Interactive decided to go new ways in the world of ArmA III. The focus is on the first contact with an extraterrestrial species that appeared in the Nadbor region. The player takes on the role of NATO drone pilot and specialist Aiden Rudwell, who is stationed in Nadbor and is the first human to encounter the aliens.
As the drone pilot proceeds to investigate the origins and motives of the extraterrestrial species, a military conflict breaks out between NATO on the one hand and CSAT on the other. The conflicts are fought in the Nadbor region, which covers a whopping 163 square kilometers. Among the new content that ArmA III: Contact brings with it are, in addition to the additional map, two new playable factions. The "Livonian Defense Force" sees itself as an army with modern protective clothing such as modular helmets. The "Russian Speznas", on the other hand, focuses mainly on their light combat uniforms and the dynamics associated with them.
