Capcom unleashes detective instincts - "Baby Eagle is Missing" ARG launched for Resident Evil 4 Remake

With only three weeks left until the release of the Resident Evil 4 Remake, Capcom has not been idle in the meantime. A new text-based ARG (Alternate Reality Game) called "Baby Eagle is Missing" has emerged, which is an obvious code phrase reference to the kidnapping of the President's daughter, Ashley Graham.

Since Resident Evil 4 takes place some time after her abduction, this is the first time there has been a detailed backstory on how it all happened, as this is quite a spectacular crime.

The detective work begins...

A Reddit post on the Resident Evil 4 page by SpecialAgentGreene reads as follows:

"We need every available body on this. We are pulling out all the stops to assist, including all staff and analysts with digital intel experience. We need you on this case immediately. The person or persons who did this may be looking to leave the country, so you will be tasked with analyzing evidence and advising our agents on their next moves. Hopefully, we can figure out what's going on to stay on her trail before it's too late."

The post then leads to the website "Baby Eagle is Missing," where the player begins as a new employee. The detective work begins by collecting information about tire tracks and the vehicle used in the kidnapping. Interestingly, the euphemistic phrasing "missing" is maintained throughout the entire ARG, even though it is confirmed that she was kidnapped.

The Production Quality is Impressive

The production of the game is very impressive, and players are put in the role of a detective with relevant files and evidence. Players are tasked with identifying the location where Leon S. Kennedy will infiltrate at the beginning of the game.

Resident Evil fans should definitely try out "Baby Eagle is Missing" to prove their detective skills.
