Hello, adventurers! Have you heard the news? Backpack Hero is now available in version 1.0! It has been an incredible journey, and the developers couldn't be more grateful for each and every one of you who has accompanied them on this adventure. Your support has been crucial - from the early days on itch.io to the Kickstarter campaign and, of course, since the first day of Early Access.
The evolution of Backpack Hero
Backpack Hero has undergone many changes. Perhaps you remember the early days? The developers have added four new characters (yes, it was just Purse at the beginning!) and revamped two of them. Over 800 items and more than 100 enemies have been designed, controller support has been introduced, and it has even received Steam Deck certification. And, of course, thanks to your help, the developers have been able to test many new features and create incredible mods!
Backpack Hero 1.0: What to Expect
Perhaps the most exciting part of 1.0 is the story mode. It introduces meta-progress between game rounds and helps new players navigate better. This way, you can follow the adventure at your own pace and discover the many secrets that Haversack Hill hides. Get ready for the thrilling planning of the city map!
From the Backpack's Mouth: Future Plans for Backpack Hero
But that's not all! The release of 1.0 is just the beginning of a new adventure. The developers are already diligently planning further updates for Backpack Hero. These include Kickstarter rewards, a summer event, more items, NPCs, and side quests in the city. And of course, there will also be bug fixes and balance improvements from time to time.
