The Hunt for the Vampire Lord
Cazador is the former vampire master of Astarion in Baldur's Gate 3, whom you can find and defeat in Act 3 to empower your companion. Cazador, a powerful vampire lord, can be difficult to locate if you wish to defeat him before a ritual allows this creature of the night to ascend.
The quest "Investigate Cazador's Palace" begins with your group's search for the vampire. Investigate a minor ceremony to the north to find two of Cazador's servants discussing an upcoming party at the vampire's palace.
How to Find Cazador's Palace
After speaking with the two slaves in the Flophouse, you learn that Cazador's Palace is located in the Undercity - an area you can only access in Act 3. Near the waypoint in this district, you will find the South Tower of the Szarr Palace, which is closest to the vampire's realm.
How to Solve the Mystery of the Eerie Door
Inside the palace, the only way to reach Cazador is through an eerie door. You will need the Szarr Family Ring and the Kozakuran Dictionary for this. On the first floor, you will find the dictionary in a necrotic room inside the mahogany wardrobe near a corpse emitting dark magic.
Cazador's Dungeon
Passing through the eerie door leads to a small battle with werewolves and other dangerous creatures. Afterwards, an elevator takes your party to Cazador's dungeon. Once you enter, a chamber to your left can be opened with the family ring. There, you will find the skull of Velioth - Cazador's ancient master.
How to Defeat Cazador
Reaching the main ceremony chamber will lead you and your group to a platform above an abyss for the battle against Cazador and his summoned minions. The vampire lord is an extremely tough opponent; he has werewolves and bats by his side throughout the entire fight in Baldur's Gate 3.
Should Astarion Replace Cazador in the Ritual?
