Developer studio Don't Nod announced their new game at the Game Awards. In North America in 1695, Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden lets you become a ghost and monster hunter. The game is scheduled to be released in 2023 for PC, Playstation 5, and Xbox Series X/S.
What's it about?
The developer studio might already be known to you through titles like Life is Strange 1 and 2 or Vampyr. In their newly announced action role-playing game, it seems that an emotional story is once again the basis. The official game description reveals that North America in 1695 is plagued by ghosts and other supernatural creatures. As Banisher Red mac Raith, it is up to you to banish the souls of the deceased who refuse to leave the world.
After Red's partner was mortally wounded in the last mission, she now works together with you as a ghost. You don't just play Red, but also Antea and combine their two abilities in combat. The two of you try to find a solution to free Antea from her terrible fate. But you don't just help with your own problems. In every village there are numerous residents who are also struggling with ghosts. Throughout the game you will learn new skills and unlock stronger equipment.
