The Battle for the Caucasus in War Thunder
Imagine it's summer 1942 and you are part of the Axis powers, launching an offensive in the Caucasus. You have managed to advance as far as Mozdok, but then you encounter a barrier. The Soviets are holding you back. By early 1943, they begin pushing you out of many occupied territories. By October 9th, all Axis forces have been evacuated and full control is once again in the hands of the Soviets.
This is exactly the scenario you can experience in War Thunder. And from October 9th (2:00 PM GMT) until October 12th (2:00 PM GMT), you even have the opportunity to get yourself a KV-1E tank or an IL-2M "Avenger" aircraft for Golden Eagles.
KV-1E and IL-2M "Avenger" in War Thunder
The KV-1E is a tank that really stands out. With a powerful cannon, good armor, and decent mobility, it's a true all-rounder. And the best part: it has additional armor plates on the sides of the hull and turret, giving it extra protection.
Then there's the IL-2M "Avenger". It's not just any plane, it's something special. It was built by Grigor Tevosyan, who lost two brothers in the war. That's why this IL-2M is called the "Avenger". This ground-attack aircraft can withstand fire and has a wide range of ordnance options, including bombs and rockets. And if that's not enough, the "Avenger" also flies faster than the regular IL-2M.
Earn the "Vehicles of Victory: Po-2" badge and the "RM-40" decoration
For the anniversary celebrations, you can even earn the "Vehicles of Victory: Po-2" badge and the "RM-40" decoration. All you have to do is complete a few tasks, such as playing three battles with vehicles from the USSR or winning five battles with ground vehicles from the USSR. But be careful: you must use at least Rank III and your activity must not drop below 70%.
