A Unique Underground Adventure
Hey gamers, imagine being able to experience the exciting elements of your favorite roguelike games in one epic underground adventure. That's exactly what Below the Stone offers. This new roguelike game, now available through Steam Early Access, combines elements from Terraria, where you explore cave systems for treasures and dangers, and Deep Rock Galactic, which captures the glorious dwarf mining dynamics.
Strollart's Debut Game
Below the Stone is the debut game from Strollart and is being published by Apogee Entertainment. It combines some of my favorite ideas from many of the best roguelike games into an experience that has already caught my attention. With its delightful pixel art design, it taps into the classic dwarf motif from the Tolkien era - dig as deep as possible and discover the many dangers (and rewards) that await below.
Procedurally Generated Depths
Your adventures will take you into dark caves and dungeons, with depths that are procedurally generated, ensuring that no run is the same. With over 25 different biomes to explore, there is plenty to discover down there. And thanks to the numbered inventory system, which fans of Minecraft and Terraria will be familiar with, you can collect all kinds of gems, materials, tools, weapons, armor, and more.
Equipment and Dangers
Naturally, the tunnels and caves are full of dangers, so you should be well-equipped. There's everything from crossbows and shotguns to throwable dynamite - provided you can get your hands on them. But be warned: Every time you embark on an expedition, you'll have to take on at least one of the available quests.
Life in the Town
In between runs, you'll return to the town. Here, you can interact with a range of charming characters and do business with them. You can upgrade your weapons, buy new equipment, or store your loot with the banker - all part of the Below the Stone experience.
Now Available on Steam
