The developer Camel 101 has announced its new game Beneath. The heart-pumping first-person action horror game will take players to the depths of the ocean.
In Beneath, players take on the role of diver Noah Quinn, who must survive a treacherous underwater world full of unimaginable horrors with only his weapons and his wits.
Resource Management, Insanity Meter, and Tactical Combat
Beneath will feature various gameplay elements. There will be a resource management system where players must collect enough supplies. Additionally, there will be an insanity meter that indicates how close the player is to madness. The higher the meter, the harder it is to distinguish reality from imagination. There will also be tactical combat and a dynamic combat system. Players can equip a special deep-sea diving suit, allowing them to explore the depths of the ocean and discover secrets.
Spine-Chilling: Underwater Horror
The developers describe the game as a "stunning horror game". The player is confronted with a lot of action, intense combat sequences, and creepy jump scares. The game is designed to keep the player on the edge of their seat. The "Beneath" team has announced that the game will be released in 2024 on PC (Steam), PS5, and Xbox Series X/S.
The developer's last game, "Those Who Remain", had an eerie premise. However, it failed to meet our expectations and received negative reviews. Therefore, it remains to be seen whether "Beneath" will offer higher entertainment value.
