What Beyond a Steel Sky is about:
Attentive readers of the older generation will get the feeling that they have heard this title before - or something similar. Because in 1994 the great cyberpunk adventure "Beneath a Steel Sky" was released, which now receives a sequel more than 26 years later. Beyond a Steel Sky picks up the story of the predecessor and recapitulates it in numerous flashbacks, so that the game can also be enjoyed without prior knowledge. As was customary in the adventures of the 1980s and 90s, you click through the visually stunning scenes, search and combine objects, and thus solve puzzles on your way through the story.

Finally, the time has come. Since 16.07.2020 the adventure is officially available for Windows platforms. Prior to that, it was available for MacOS for just under a month. Consoles have yet to wait for a release of Beyond a Steel Sky, but such a release is planned. No more detailed information is known at this time.
How Beyond a Steel Sky picks up the story of the predecessor:
In Beneath a Steel Sky, the protagonist Robert Foster is abducted to Union City. The city is controlled and exploited by a rich upper class. Together with a robot, Foster tries to escape and help the people of Union City. The story of Beyond a Steel Sky takes place ten years later. Union City has become a flourishing, peaceful city. At least that's what it seems. Because the player alias Robert Foster has to go back to Union City to investigate the kidnapping of a child.
The target group of Beyond a Steel Sky:
Nostalgia is clearly the name of the game here. Fans of classic adventure games can't go wrong with Beyond a Steel Sky. The game looks like it came straight out of the 90s, with a fresher, Tell-Tale-Games-esque graphics. Unfortunately, this results in the controls feeling a bit dated. If you've also played the predecessor (our tip: Beneath a Steel Sky is available as a free download at GOG!), and you're comfortable in a cyberpunk setting, you're guaranteed to have a blast with Beyond a Steel Sky!
