In Blasphemous 2, the story remains somewhat vague, and it's up to you to uncover it. You start as the Penitent One, emerging from a coffin held by a stone statue of another Penitent. You're already half-dead from the beginning, but at least you're given your first important item: bile flasks.
The Weapon Choice in Blasphemous 2
Soon, in Blasphemous 2, you will have to learn to always move forward. In the next section of the land, you will be introduced to your three possible weapons - Veredicto (Judgment), Sarmiento & Centella (Shot & Spark), and Ruego Al Alba (Prayer at Dawn). Each of these weapons has a special utility, and you will need all three to navigate through the harsh lands ahead of you.
The battles in Blasphemous 2 are initially relatively easy. However, your weapons can change that as well. Ruego Al Alba comes with the ability to block and counterattack, while Veredicto lacks the ability to parry or block.
The Battle against the Relentless
Not too comfortable! Soon, you will have to fight against the Relentless - the Faceless Loneliness - the Chisel of Forgetfulness. Nobody likes to die, but it also gives you an early warning of the accumulation of guilt.
After your stand-off with the Faceless Loneliness, you will meet Anunciada - a divine being from the heavenly mountains. It will share a prophecy with you and give you the task of preventing the birth of a child.
