RaceRoom Racing Experience - The BMW M4 GT3 joins the lineup

The BMW M4 GT3 enters the stage in RaceRoom

Today is the day: The BMW M4 GT3 is finally joining the ever-growing fleet of RaceRoom Racing Experience. Based on the latest G82 body, this vehicle is not only designed to be fast and aggressive, but also features the latest driver-friendly suspension technology, making it the ultimate driver's machine.

Some seemingly counterintuitive design decisions have led to surprising results. The M4 has a rearward weight distribution (about 48/52) despite having a front engine, and features high anti-dive and anti-squat properties in its suspension geometry. The configuration means that the nose rises slightly when braking and the rear does not squat when accelerating. This may take some getting used to, but it provides a phenomenally stable platform for drivers of all skill levels.

Efficient aerodynamics and impressive performance

The M4 is highly aerodynamically efficient, which gives it a high top speed despite having a comparatively lower power output than its competitors. With "up to 590 horsepower" from its twin-turbo inline-six engine, it falls completely within the range of balanced GT3 approvals, but the optimized performance combined with the chassis setup provides excellent grip in acceleration zones while still achieving a high top speed that is unmatched by any other current GT3.

The next generation of GT3 vehicles

The approaches used in the M4 serve as a template for the next generation of GT3 vehicles: more efficient and easier to drive, but still just as fast overall. Just look at the material from last weekend's 24-hour race at the Nürburgring to see how hard the M4s can be pushed. Or what they can achieve: a second-place overall finish in the Green Hell, just 27 seconds behind the winning Ferrari after another nerve-wracking marathon.

Aggressive design and expected diffuser

The successor to the BMW M6 GT3 presents itself more aggressively, with sharp body lines that connect extremely wide fenders and a variety of air intakes and outlets for targeted airflow. The rear wing is mounted on swan-neck supports, and the rear features an expectedly large diffuser. Unusually, the exhaust is located directly in front of the right front wheel and exits through the fender.

Online racing and more GT3 vehicles in the works

The BMW M4 GT3 will shine in our online races and further strengthen our current GT3 field. You won't have to wait long for the next new GT3 vehicle, the 992 911 GT3R, and more are also in the works!

Latest game update brings evolutionary changes to GT3 physics

Along with this content expansion, all players benefit from the latest game update, which includes some evolutionary changes to GT3 physics. This keeps our GT3 vehicles up to date and provides a balanced and highly entertaining (but precise) driving experience. There is also a change to our already highly regarded force feedback system, where individual tuning of the cars in the background replaces the current linearity setting through steering geometry and power steering adjustments. This results in all cars feeling more solid and easier to drive, especially at low speeds.

The changes help to get the most out of every type of steering wheel; however, weaker steering wheels may require a slightly higher "minimum force" due to the removal of the linearity setting. The entire beta test feedback has been very positive, and we can't wait for you to try out these updates.
