The Unforgettable Shooter: Brink

Do you remember Brink? This colorful FPS game from Bethesda was released with great fanfare in 2011, but it failed to generate the expected attention at the time. Nevertheless, it has loyal fans - and today we introduce you to one of them.

Brink was an ambitious project that offered fast movements and stylish kill chains in a quasi post-apocalyptic world. Despite being developed by renowned developers like Splash Damage and Bethesda, and being based on the same technology as Doom 3, it couldn't compete with other shooters of its time.

A Mission for a Sequel

Although Brink has long since faded from the spotlight, there is one fan who is determined to keep the game alive. Going by the username 'Brink2', this loyal follower has been collecting copies of the game for over a year now. His goal: to convince Bethesda to create a sequel.

His collection now consists of 31 copies of Brink, and he is determined to continue his mission. "The movement knows no fear, and I will not be slowed down by something as trivial as money," says Brink2.

What He Wants to See in a Sequel

In addition to his ambitious endeavor, Brink2 also has specific ideas about what he would like to see in a sequel: he hopes for more progression options and customization capabilities, while retaining the core gameplay of Brink.

Brink: An Underestimated Classic?

Although Brink did not achieve the desired success at the time, it may very well get a second chance today. After all, the popularity of similar games like The Finals shows that there is indeed a market for stylish and fast-paced shooters.

Would you like to see for yourself what Brink is all about? The game is now available for free on Steam. And who knows - if Brink2's efforts are successful, we might all be playing a sequel soon. You can secure your own Steam Key for the game on our website now!
