Call of Duty Vanguard is the next installment in the long-running shooter series. The game has been developed by Slegdehammer Games, the creators of Call of Duty: WW2, who promise an exciting campaign. Of course, the obligatory multiplayer component must not be missing.
When working on the multiplayer of Call of Duty Vanguard, the developers of Sledgehammer Games had the goal of appealing to both newcomers and long-time Call of Duty veterans. Therefore, in addition to familiar elements, various new features will be waiting to provide fresh air.
The new modes: Patrol & Champion Hill
In the Vanguard multiplayer mode, for example, you can look forward to two brand new game modes. On the one hand, we have the Champion Hill mode, which at first glance appears to be a mix of the classic team deathmatch on the one hand and the battle royale on the other. According to official statements, the Champion Hill mode, which is played on four different maps, rewards teamwork, communication and of course weapon skills equally. One of the features of Champion Hill is that the mode is played in rounds.
Each team starts with a certain number of lives and has the opportunity to adjust its weapons and equipment before each round to actively respond to the course of the game. The second new mode is called Patrol and is described by official sources as a mobile version of Hardpoint. As before, the aim is to capture and hold certain points on the map.
But while the areas in Hardpoint were still of a fixed nature, they wander across the map in Patrol and present you with new strategic challenges. The Team Deathmatch, Domination and Kill Confirmed modes, on the other hand, are known from the predecessors and will make a comeback in Vanguard.
