When the Undead Enter the Battlefield
For the first time in Call of Duty® history, zombies are entering the Modern Warfare® universe. Developed by Treyarch in collaboration with Sledgehammer Games, Modern Warfare Zombies is a cooperative experience that challenges players to team up with other squads to survive and fight against massive hordes of undead. The scene begins with a group of men in military attire conducting a nighttime raid on an unknown location.
A familiar character calls for backup to distract the local police, while the military unit prepares to storm the backdoor of a hotel building. Upon arrival, they find four heavily decayed bodies arranged around a table and a strange device in the center of it. A mission leads to a squad member throwing a vial, releasing a purple cloud of mist that transforms both the living and the dead into bloodthirsty zombies.
Operation Deadbolt: Nothing gets in, nothing gets out
After the events on the ground, a helicopter lands in the outbreak area, preparing an operator for the upcoming mission - Operation Deadbolt. Your task is to counter the threat of the exclusion zone: "Nothing gets in, nothing gets out." In this version of zombies, there are both undead and living enemies. The threat from the living comes in the form of a private military company called Terminus Outcomes, hired as muscle by Zakhaev.
Prepare to face a larger number of undead than ever before as members of Operation Deadbolt encounter challenging and multi-stage tasks. Experience survival in an open-world, player-versus-environment (PvE) extraction survival experience alongside other squads and numerous special missions.
