Firaxis Games has officially confirmed that Civilization 7 will be the next installment in the popular 4X game series. Heather Hazen, the new studio head, will be leading the project alongside longtime Creative Director Ed Beach. Beach has been responsible for the development of the Civilization series for over 15 years.
Civilization 7: Reaching New Heights
Hazen is excited to take the Civilization franchise to new heights and promises to work with some of the best developers in the industry. The announcement follows the departure of Jake Solomon, the head of XCOM and Marvel's Midnight Suns, as well as former studio head Steve Martin. Although the features and release date of the game are still unknown, it is noted that Civilization 6 is currently available on Steam at its lowest price.
Civilization 7: Waiting for New Features
Fans of the series are now eagerly awaiting what the latest installment of the series has to offer. Will there be new civilizations? Or new mechanics that will change the game? It remains to be seen what new features Civilization 7 will bring.
