Extermination is set to go into Early Access in 2023. Then you'll find out what it means to fight the bugs.
The name of the developer studio behind Starship Troopers: Extermination should be familiar to any shooter fan. Hardcore shooters like Squad, Post Scriptum, and Beyond the Wire are the work of Offworld Industries. In their new game, you can kill bugs with 12 players in co-op, build bases, and achieve higher objectives. The developers have already announced some important features in advance:
- Co-op with many players: Groups of 12 women and men should be able to go into battle together. These are divided into squads of 4 soldiers each.
- Three playable classes: As a stormtrooper, supplier, or defender, you go into battle, each of which requires a different playing style. By playing with a class, you have the option to unlock new weapons, equipment, and abilities for that class.
- Defensive structures: Build walls, towers, ammunition boxes, guns, and more by raiding refineries that contain valuable resources.
- Five different enemies: Drones, warriors, snipers, plasma grenadiers, and tiger elite bugs are the types of bugs you'll encounter in Early Access. Apparently more enemy types are to follow.
- Large map: This is said to have five different zones.
- Secondary objectives: By destroying hives or recapturing bases and refineries, you can simplify your main missions.
- Ping system: Mark your targets, opponents, or locations for your team mates.
