Conqueror's Blade: What to Expect in the June Update - Unit Mastery, Promotion Changes & More

The upcoming June update of Conqueror's Blade

In this article, we will take a look at the new features and changes expected in the June update of Conqueror's Blade. These are thoughts during the development phase.

With over 100 units in Conqueror's Blade, more strategies are available to players than ever before. However, this makes some units unusable in the current meta. We have made many balance changes in the past year, but there are still many unused units.

Therefore, we are looking for a new solution to fix this problem and hope to offer something new with this new feature.

Unit Mastery

The Unit Mastery System will be introduced in the June update. Mastery of a unit will be gradually unlocked as it is leveled up, allowing for increased attributes and customization of its abilities or mechanics. This system will bring new opportunities for all units.

Unlocking Mastery

First, you must select a unit for which mastery is available. Mastery unlocking items can be found daily in certain PVE content and in the Honor Shop. There are daily and monthly caps for both methods. By completing daily PVE content, you can unlock mastery for up to three units per month.

Availability of Mastery

Initially, mastery will be available for 2-star, 3-star, and 4-star units, and we will add mastery for about five units each month. In a few days, we will announce which units will be the first to receive mastery.

In addition, we will increase the level cap of 2-star and 3-star units in the unit tree and season challenges to level 18, and 4-star units to level 24.

Promotions

With promotions, some units could be promoted to new units. Based on player feedback and our own observations, however, we find that the promotion system is difficult to understand and overall not working well. Therefore, we will not add any new promotions.

We will remove promotions in June and change how promoted units are acquired. The affected units can now be created directly, without relying on the base unit.

With the removal of promotions, these units must now be created individually and will not receive levels or experience points from the original unit. If you plan to promote a max-level base unit to obtain a high-level promoted unit, we recommend doing so before the update.

We will continue to explore further opportunities for units. If you have feedback on units or mastery, please share it with us on Discord.
