Persia is situated at the crossroads of the world, with a variety of external influences combined with strong local traditions. This makes it a fascinating setting for our favorite game, Crusader Kings III.
What's new in "Legacy of Persia"?
The main focus, of course, was on the Persian region itself, but the developers also sought to shake up a part of the world as a whole by revamping the way the clan government functions.
Persia is already a very popular starting point for our players. The region is among the top ten most chosen starting locations and is the most popular one outside of Europe. But aside from player data, all history enthusiasts know how rich and fascinating Persia is.
Redesigning the Clan Government
The clan government has been redesigned. The goal is to depict the family conflicts of the powerful clans of that time and the bureaucratic machinery that supported their interests.
Cultural Diversity
In Persia and its surrounding areas, various Iranian cultures coexist. Each of them has been given an original combination of cultural traditions.
Religion in Persia
In the starting date of Crusader Kings III in 867, Islam had already been the dominant religion of the upper class in Persia for over a century. However, Zoroastrian practices are still very much alive and widespread among the rural population.
Iranian Intermezzo
With "Legacy of Persia," we introduce a new struggle, the "Iranian Intermezzo." This struggle aims to depict the historical dissolution of the caliphate's authority over Persia and the rise of new powerful Iranian rulers in the 9th and 10th centuries.
Persian Revival
With "Legacy of Persia," we add a new bookmark, the Persian Revival.
