Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty - All news & exciting details at a glance

Welcome back to Night City, Choom!

If you missed the stream on Thursday, don't panic! We've got you covered with the highlights. Alicja Kozera and Amelia Kołat, the Senior Community Managers at CD Projekt Red, along with Kacper Niepokólczycki, the Lead Environment Artist, and Gabriel Amatangelo, the Game Director, introduced Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty. And trust me, there's a lot of exciting stuff to discuss.

New features and updates at a glance

In September, there are some exciting changes coming to Cyberpunk 2077 - from skills to the police system. Additionally, a brand new skill tree has been introduced. But let's take a closer look at it all.

Skills Overhaul

The skill trees in Cyberpunk 2077 are being completely reorganized, and you'll need to reallocate your points. Your skill points will be reset by default, and in addition to that, all players can now reset their attributes once. Yes, you heard that right - all players!

New Skill Tree

Although no new attribute is being added, Phantom Liberty will unlock a new skill tree related to the relic. To level these up, you'll need to find hidden Militech data terminals.

Car Combat

Have you ever dreamed of being able to shoot from your car? Then you're going to love this update! With auto turrets and rocket launchers, you can fight your way through the city or simply hack other cars.

Updated Police System

But be careful! The NCPD is no longer taking law-breaking lightly. Car chases and serious consequences are the order of the day. Of course, you can try to shoot your way out of a chase, but the more resistance you put up, the harder the police will come after you.

History Lesson: Dogtown

For all the lore lovers out there, there was a whole segment about Kurt Hansen, Barghest, and Dogtown in general. Since the segment was quite extensive, we recommend watching the full recording.

In summary, revamped skills and cyberware, improved police and vehicle combat are just some of the changes in Update 2.0 - available for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.

With the Phantom Liberty expansion, you'll experience a new storyline with President Myers, Songbird, and Solomon Reed; explore Dogtown; enjoy additional side content; use the new relic skill tree; try out new weapons and vehicles, and much more. So what are you waiting for? Grab your Cyberpunk 2077 key and dive into the adventure today!
