Unveiling the first epic key art for "Episode 45: Shock to the System"
DC Universe Online recently revealed the first epic key art for the upcoming "Episode 45: Shock to the System". The impressive artwork features the heroes Static and Rocket surrounded by electricity, while the villain Ebon from the animated Static Shock series lurks in the background. Get ready for April 13, 2023, when Episode 45 will be released in DC Universe Online.
What can we expect from "Shock to the System"?
This new episode will introduce some important characters and the plot revolves around Static's hometown, Dakota City. The official slogan for Chapter 45 reads:
"Dakota City is just different. The Big Bang attack that created new heroes, villains, and victims draws dark, otherworldly attention. Ebon's powers cast a long shadow, but it's the apocalyptic Parademons that shock Static enough to contact you. Why are people disappearing? Why has Apokolips set its sights on Dakota City? And will you be able to confront such a shadowy threat?"
"Shock to the System" offers on-duty content in normal and elite versions. For a limited time, players can also enjoy level-agnostic event versions. Explore an open world with new bosses and interact with various mission types such as alarm, heist, and duo missions. Along with Static, Ebon, Rocket, DeSaad, and other characters also make an appearance. Additionally, more player rewards such as styles and equipment await.
Ebon and Anansi in Focus
Ebon made his debut as Virgil's new archenemy in the animated series Static Shock and was recently introduced in the comics of Static: Shadows of Dakota #1. Another popular character from the Static Shock series, Anansi, appears in a new one-shot called Static Team-Up: Anansi #1.
