In the latest open beta version of DCS World, you can expect many exciting new features and improvements! Get ready for new map modules like DCS: Sinai, visual enhancements, and numerous bug fixes in various areas of the game.
New map modules and graphical improvements
The highlight of this version is the new map module DCS: Sinai, which provides a stunning environment for your flight simulation experiences. Additionally, the representation of ocean surfaces in FLIR and the IR representation for the South Atlantic Map have been improved.
Fixes and Optimizations
This Open Beta also brings a number of fixes and optimizations that further improve the gaming experience in DCS World. These include adjustments to AI, Mission Editor, multiplayer servers, and user interface. Additionally, the display of horizon lines in TV mode of targeting optics has been optimized, and errors in VR and lighting on terrain and buildings have been fixed.
Another important area addressed in this update is improvements to the collision registration of ground units and projectiles. This helps to make the gameplay even more realistic. Adjustments have also been made to aircraft, weapons, and systems of various modules, such as the F-16C Viper, F/A-18C Hornet, AH-64D, Mi-24P Hind, UH-1H Huey, Mi-8MTV2 Magnificent Eight, Supercarrier, FW 190A-8, FW 190D-9, AJS-37 Viggen, and F-14 Tomcat.
Campaign Updates
Various campaigns have also been revised and improved in this Open Beta version. Errors have been fixed and optimizations made in campaigns such as The Enemy Within 3.0, Flaming Sunrise, Raven One: Dominant Fury, and Inherent Resolve.
DCS: Normandy 2.0 Map Updates
The Normandy 2.0 Map also receives some exciting updates. New scenes and objects such as Spitfire factories in Hampshire or the port of Le Treport have been added. Radar stations, ports, and traffic (trains and cars) have been improved, as have lighting and destruction models.
Airports and terrain have been revised and errors fixed, while textures and collisions have been adjusted for buildings and bridges. This makes the flying experience on the DCS: Normandy 2.0 Map even more impressive!
