When is the next update for Dead by Daylight? After seven years of the popular asymmetric horror game, many of our horror favorites have already been consumed by the fog, from Michael Myers and Ghostface to Silent Hill's Cheryl Mason and even Nic Cage. Who will be the next to enter the realms of DBD? With about four new chapters per year, it's amazing that the team at Behaviour can continually come up with new abilities and powers for the new DBD killers and survivors.
Next DBD Chapter Release Date
The release date for the Dead by Daylight Alien Chapter has been confirmed: Tuesday, August 29, 2023. On this day, the new Killer, The Xenomorph, and the Survivor, Ellen Ripley, will board the Nostromo. The update will drop at 8am PT / 11am ET / 4pm BST.
Details about the Dead By Daylight Alien Chapter
After months of exciting leaks, the official crossover was confirmed in a tweet on August 1, 2023. Just a few days after the release of Nic Cage, the Alien PTB was rolled out on PC on August 8.
Survivor: Ellen Ripley
- Chemical Trap: Activates after a certain repair time on generators.
- Light-Footed: Suppresses the sound of your footsteps while running.
- Lucky Star: Suppresses your pain noises and bloodstains for ten seconds while hiding in a locker.
Killer: The Xenomorph
- Rapid Brutality: You no longer gain Bloodlust.
- Alien Instinct: Reveals the aura of the furthest injured Survivor.
- Ultimate Weapon: Activates for 30 seconds whenever you open a locker.
In addition, the Xenomorph has a unique power called Hidden Pursuit, which allows it to use a tunneling system to quickly move across the map.
Upcoming Chapters of Dead by Daylight
According to the roadmap for the eighth year, we can expect another chapter in November, followed by a full chapter release in March 2024. Another surprise Survivor release is planned for January 2024.
Previous release dates for DBD updates include Nicolas Cage in July 2023 or the "End Transmission" chapter in June of the same year.
