End Transmission Chapter and Feedback
For almost a week now, the End Transmission chapter has been available in Dead by Daylight. The development team has been closely monitoring player feedback and has already prepared some balancing changes for an upcoming update. In this article, we will explain the adjustments made and why they were necessary while maintaining a personal tone.
Notable Trends and Issues
Several trends have caught the attention of the developers:
- The Singularity Biopods are often deactivated, making it difficult to utilize their power.
- An EMP provides survivors with too much protection against the power of Singularity, allowing them to quickly and easily remove Slipstream and deactivate Biopods during a chase.

Changes to Address Issues
To address the first issue, the developers have made some changes:
- Reduced the number of supply crates to 4 (previously 5).
- Increased the EMP generation time to 100 seconds (previously 90 seconds).
- Reduced the deactivation time of biopods to 45 seconds (previously 60 seconds).
With these adjustments, EMPs will be less available and biopods will be deactivated for a shorter period of time. Survivors can still defend against biopods in key positions, but they must strategize to avoid wasting them.
Changes for Dealing with EMPs
Secondly, the developers noticed that survivors often carry an EMP and only use it when the killer tries to mark them during a chase with a temporal slipstream. To make this strategy riskier, they have made the following changes:
- Increased the loading time for an EMP to 2.5 seconds (previously 2 seconds).
- New effect: Survivors are now slowed down by 10% while loading the EMP.
Impact on Gameplay
This makes picking up an EMP during a chase more dangerous. Although the slipstream can be removed, the killer will catch up faster and may strike. If you want to use the EMP for defense, you should plan ahead and use it at the right time.
Upcoming 7.0.1 Bugfix Patch
These changes will be available in the upcoming 7.0.1 bugfix patch for Dead by Daylight. The development team will continue to monitor feedback after the update, so let them know how the changes feel.
Until next time, have fun playing Dead by Daylight!
