The Highlights of the Dead by Daylight Beta Release
Hello gamers! Today we have fresh news for you about the current beta release of Dead by Daylight. Strap in, because there's a lot to discover!
First things first: The beta is live and running until Monday, August 14th. So if you haven't checked it out yet, now is the time!
Attention, progress is not transferable!
Before you dive into battle, there's an important note to keep in mind. Your game progress and saved data were copied from the live version to the PTB servers on July 31, 2023. While you can make progress during the beta, be aware that it will not carry over to the live version of the game.
New Content with Killer and Survivor
Now let's get to the really exciting stuff. The new killer in the game is none other than the Xenomorph. With the ability "Hidden Pursuit" and the "Runner Mode", he brings a breath of fresh air to the hunt for the survivors.
But don't worry, dear survivors! You have a new fighter by your side in the form of Ellen Ripley. Her advantages Lucky Star, Chemical Trap, and Light Footed will surely help you out of many tight spots.
Killer Tweaks and Graphics Update
- The Knight and The Demogorgon have received some adjustments.
- In addition, there is a PC graphics update with options to switch VSync, change FPS limit, and enable Anti-Aliasing.

Bug Fixes and Known Issues
Naturally, various bug fixes have also been worked on. Animations, audio, bots, perks, platforms, and user interface have been improved.
Despite all the improvements, there are also some known issues. The team is currently working on preventing killers from getting stuck in the palette in the Eyrie of Crows Killer Shack or accessing it. There are also difficulties with Lerprose Lichen not showing any auras during traversal.
