End Transmission Patch causes error with Mastermind

In the latest End Transmission Patch of Dead by Daylight, a serious error has occurred that has prompted developers to temporarily disable the Mastermind. Dead by Daylight is one of those horror games that you can never get enough of. It also receives regular updates from its developers, with the latest one just released. As with many new content in games, there have been errors here too, which the developers quickly took note of.

One of these errors concerns The Mastermind, a popular killer in Dead by Daylight, who was added during a collaboration with Resident Evil. The developers announced on Twitter that they have temporarily disabled the Mastermind and cited "an issue in today's update". Unfortunately, the developers did not indicate how long the Mastermind will be unplayable and only said that "he will be reactivated once the problem is fixed in an upcoming patch".

Kill Switch: The Solution for Problematic Content

To temporarily prevent players from using the Mastermind after the Dead by Daylight patch, the developers utilized one of their newest features - the Kill Switch. With this recently added feature, the team can temporarily disable characters, cosmetic items, items, maps, or offerings that are causing significant issues. While the Kill Switch is activated, the disabled elements are no longer available for selection or use.
