"Dead by Daylight" unveils new DLC packs and price reductions
Behaviour Interactive has announced the new Gold Edition of "Dead by Daylight" as well as cost-effective DLC packs that bundle paid DBD content. "Dead by Daylight" is extensive, with years of content updates and paid expansions. Behaviour Interactive regularly releases new characters, features, and exciting extras. This has led the developer to now announce its brand-new Gold Edition, a version of the survival horror game that makes the majority of its content accessible in a more affordable package.
But that's not all. "Dead by Daylight" is also receiving new DLC packs that function similarly, bundling various chapters at a reduced price. The Gold Edition of the horror game includes all three of these DLC packs, providing a great entry point into a diverse selection of original killers and survivors with a much less obstructive paywall.
The details of the new DLC packages
The new packages for "Dead by Daylight" offer a wealth of content. The Maddening Darkness Pack includes Curtain Call, Of Flesh and Mud, Shattered Bloodline, and Spark of Madness. The Old Wounds Pack contains Chains of Hate, Cursed Legacy, Darkness Among Us, and Demise of the Faithful. The last pack is called Macabre Tales, and it includes A Binding of Kin, All-Kill, Descend Beyond, and Hour of the Witch.
Unfortunately, the chapters included in the packages can no longer be purchased individually, but there is still some time to take advantage of sales and complete your collection. Each DLC pack will be released on Monday, January 8th, along with the new Gold Edition. After this date, the individual DLC characters can only be purchased in the in-game store.
Price reductions for characters
With the New Year's release of the new packages, a variety of original survivors and killers will receive a permanent price reduction. These characters will then cost only 250 Auric Cells or 4,500 Iridescent Shards in the in-game store.
This is a great advantage for the fans. The often arduous task of collecting higher-level DBD characters and their important Prestige benefits is effectively halved by these upcoming price changes. 4,500 is far less than 9,000, and the currencies involved are all in-game, which means you actually don't have to pay a cent to build up your collection of killers and survivors.
The community reaction
The community is mostly excited about all of this, as can be seen in a recently published Reddit thread. Both newcomers and longtime players are looking forward to the positive changes. Especially now that it's easier than ever to use your Dead by Daylight Key and get your favorite characters at a lower price.
