The Evolution of Dead by Daylight
"Dead by Daylight," an asymmetrical multiplayer game pitting killers against survivors, has been around for almost seven years. One of the things that keeps the game fresh is the regular addition of new killers and survivors, including licensed characters like Leatherface from "The Texas Chainsaw Massacre" and Michael Myers from "Halloween." However, according to a recent player survey, developer Behaviour Interactive plans to introduce some completely new game modes.
Have you ever felt that the multiplayer horror game "Dead by Daylight" needs a refresh? Well, you might be in luck, as developer Behaviour Interactive has invited players to share their opinions on several new game modes.
More than just Killer vs. Survivors?
Currently, there are 33 different "Dead by Daylight" Killers with their own talents and abilities. The new game modes, ranging from Zombie Tag to Team vs. Team, sound interesting. Behaviour Interactive has launched a survey among players, seeking feedback on these new modes.
New game modes under scrutiny
The first half of the survey asks players for their thoughts on the recently released paid expansion for "Dead by Daylight," which adds the Killer doll Chucky to the game. After that, it focuses on the proposed game modes:
- Swapped Perspective – Killers play in 3rd person, Survivors play in 1st person
- Zombie Tag - 'killed' Survivors turn into Killers until only one is left
- 2v8 Party – 2 Killers against 8 Survivors
- Tag - When a player is caught, they switch roles with the Killer
- Hide and Seek – no generators, just survive for five minutes to escape
- 5v5 – Two teams of 4 Survivors (with a loose Killer) battle for control of the generators
Whether any of these game modes will actually be introduced is up to Behaviour Interactive, with player feedback undoubtedly playing a role. So, it remains exciting to see how Dead by Daylight will continue to evolve in the future. Stay tuned and don't miss any news about your favorite horror game!
