Dead by Daylight - All you need to know about PROJECT W

Chapter 25: Resident Evil™: PROJECT W is the DLC for Chapter 25 of Dead by Daylight, released on August 30th, 2022.

The content of Dead by Daylight: PROJECT W

  • A new killer (The Mastermind)
  • A new survivor (Ada Wong)
  • A new survivor (Rebecca Chambers)

The new killer: The Mastermind

The Masterminds Power: Virulent Bound

  • You can move forward and infect Survivors with the Uroboros Virus or make jumps over obstacles.
  • You start the match with 2 Tokens.

The Masterminds Special Attack: Bound Attack

Press and hold the Power button to charge a Bound Attack. During the charge, you move slightly slower while preparing a hit. After you are charged, press the Attack button to perform the Bound.

  • If you hit a Survivor with a Bound Attack, they will be infected.
  • If you hit a Survivor who is already infected, their infection will be amplified.
  • If you collide with something during a Bound Attack, you will hit a nearby Survivor and deal damage. Otherwise, the Survivor will be thrown and lose a Health State if they are thrown against a solid object.
  • For Survivors who were recently hit by a Bound Attack, the Exit Gates are locked for 5 seconds.

The Masterminds Special Ability: Bound Vault

  • If you hit a dropped palette or window while Virulent Bound, you will jump over the obstacle.

The Masterminds Special Effect: Uroboros Infection

  • The Uroboros Infection builds up over time.
  • If the infection becomes critical, the Survivor suffers from the Hindered Status and their movement speed is reduced by 8%.
  • If you grab and throw a critically infected Survivor while Virulent Bound, they will be automatically picked up.

Special Interaction: First Aid Spray

At the start of each match, several Supply Cases will appear, each containing a First Aid Spray. Using a First Aid Spray, the Infected can free themselves from the infection. Likewise, a non-infected Survivor can use the spray to heal an infected Survivor.

New Survivor: Ada Wong

Ada has the following three perks:

Wiretrap (Listening Device)

You know that the best way to stay one step ahead is to keep an eye on the competition.

  • After generators have been repaired by a total of 33%, Wiretrap is activated:
    • After a generator has been repaired for 3 seconds, press the ability button to install a Wiretrap that will remain active for 60/70/80 seconds.
    • The aura of this generator will be shown to all survivors in yellow.
    • If the killer is within 14 meters of this generator, his aura will be shown to all survivors.
    • Damaging the generator will destroy the Wiretrap.

Reactive Healing (Reactive Healing)

The more the situation deteriorates, the more determined you are to finish the job.

  • If another survivor within 32 meters loses health while you are injured, you will benefit from the following effect:
    • Grants 40/45/50% of your missing healing progress.

Low Profile (Low Profile)

You work best alone. When it's just you and your pursuer, you know how to disappear.

  • Whenever you are the only survivor in the game who is not currently dying, on a hook, or already dead, Low Profile is activated:
    • Suppresses your blood puddles, scratches, and moans for 70/80/90 seconds.

New Survivor: Rebecca Chambers

Rebecca has the following three perks:

Better than new (Besser als neu)

You are an expert in combat medicine. Patients leave your care full of new energy.

  • If you have performed a healing action on another survivor, they benefit from the following effects until they take damage again:
    • Increases their action speed by 12/14/16% while healing, unlocking, cleansing, and blessing.

Reassurance (Beruhigung)

Your presence helps allies focus and ease the panic associated with extreme conditions.

  • If you are within 6 meters of a hooked survivor, press the ability button to stop their death progress for the next 20/25/30 seconds.
  • If the hooked survivor is already in the second phase, their ability checks will be paused for this period.
  • Reassurance can only be used once per hook.

Hyperfocus (Hyperfokus)

You fully dedicate yourself to your tasks and find ways to be more efficient than anyone else.

  • After making a great skill check while repairing or healing, Hyperfocus gains 1 token (up to 6 tokens).
  • For each token, the following, stackable effects are applied:
    • Increases the chance for a skill check by +4% per token.
    • Increases the rotation speed of the skill checks by +4% per token.
    • Increases the bonus of the skill check by 10/20/30% of its base value per token.
  • Hyperfocus loses all tokens when a good skill check is completed, a skill check fails, or the action is interrupted for any reason.
