The Progress of Dead By Daylight
Dead by Daylight is constantly evolving as Behaviour Interactive listens to the community and takes every feedback into account. The game has always been a welcoming haven for us LGBT+ players, with the developer's explicit support for Pride and fans who fall under diverse identities. While rainbow cosmetics are fun, we have all been waiting for more representation among DBD's roster of killers and survivors. Thanks to a new collaboration with Rainbow Six Siege, we now have our first trans character in the game.
The best part of the Dead by Daylight community? Without a doubt, their acceptance towards us gaymers. Behaviour Interactive is known for its unwavering support, with free DBD codes that provide Pride goodies in-game and annual events that celebrate LGBT+ players.
Tubarão: The First Trans Survivor in Dead by Daylight
Something that we have all wanted since the introduction of David King, the iconic Birch skin for The Hag, and other inclusive additions, is a genuine trans character. Not just another skin, but a way to play the horror game as a trans survivor or killer.
Now, thanks to Renato Lyra's new legendary set based on R6S' own trans character Tubarão, we can do just that. If you're not familiar with Rainbow Six, Tubarão is a Portuguese defensive operator who uses explosives. Ubisoft has confirmed that he is indeed trans, making him the first official trans survivor in Dead by Daylight. As an alternative model for Renato, you can get him for 1,485 Auric Cells in the in-game Character Shop.
Other Possible Trans Characters in DBD
There have been speculations in the past that killers like The Birch or The Twins were trans. However, The Birch is not a legendary skin but a costume of the movie character, and any discussion about The Twins being trans is purely speculative. Now that we have Tubarão, all Behaviour Interactive needs to do is add their own original trans character.
