Dead by Daylight - What you need to know about the latest update

What to expect in the new Dead by Daylight update?

Horror enthusiasts, pay attention! Dead by Daylight has a brand new update, and we at Keyfuchs have all the details for you. Whether you're an experienced killer or a cunning survivor, these changes will definitely impact your gameplay. So grab a cup of coffee (or something stronger if you prefer) and get ready for the latest news from the world of Dead by Daylight.

Let's start with the killer perks. Some of them have been updated to make the gameplay even more exciting. One change worth highlighting is the alteration to "Stealthy Pursuit": If your obsession is hooked, you'll gain the Undetectable status and a 5% Haste status effect for up to 18 seconds! Something that will surely create some thrilling moments.

Updates for Survivor Perks and Killer

But the Survivor Perks are not left behind either. With the new update, the perk "Background Player" is activated when the Killer picks up another Survivor. Once you start running, you sprint at 200% of your normal running speed for a full 5 seconds. This could make the decisive difference in some situations.

The Killers themselves are not neglected either. The Skull Dealer has received an update, and we are excited to see how it will affect the game. There are also improvements for other Killers like Huntress and Deathslinger, whose reload times are now faster.

Anti Face-Camp Feature and Map Updates

An interesting new feature is the Anti Face-Camp system. Survivors on the hook now have an internal "Camp Meter" that fills up when the Killer is nearby. Once the meter is full, the Survivor has a 100% chance of leaving the hook. This should make camping much less attractive!

Next up are the map updates: The Shattered Square map and the MacMillan Estate Realm have received an update. We are looking forward to exploring these locations in Dead by Daylight again.

Bug Fixes and PTB Adjustments

Naturally, some bugs have been fixed as well. Issues with challenges, audio, AI, and more have been addressed and resolved. This should make the gaming experience even smoother and more enjoyable.

Lastly, there are adjustments in the Public Test Build (PTB). Bots no longer pick up items that have almost no charges left. And the Anti Face-Camp feature has been further optimized: a 7-second grace period has been added for the Killer to leave the area before the system is activated.

That's it for now from our side. We hope you are as excited about the new changes in Dead by Daylight as we are! Keep an eye out for more updates and have fun playing!
