Zombie game fans can rejoice, as the release date of Dead Island 2 has been moved up by an entire week. Developer studio Dambuster Studios has now announced that the long-awaited sequel has finally reached gold status and will now be released earlier on PC and Epic Games Store.

An Earlier Release Date
Dead Island 2's original release date was planned for April 28th, but Dambuster Studios has now announced that the game will be shipping a week earlier.
A New Date and a New Trailer
Dead Island 2's PC release is now planned for April 21st and Dambuster Studios has released a new, humorous trailer announcing the new date.
A New Gaming Experience
Dead Island 2 takes place in exaggerated versions of San Francisco and Los Angeles and aims to make the zombie genre even bloodier with increased dismemberment and a "melting system". If you hit a zombie with an axe, you can watch the blade cut through flesh and bone. Pour acid on them and they'll fall apart piece by piece.
Dambuster Studios says: "You asked for it, you got it. Dead Island 2 goes gold and comes a week earlier. See you in HELL-A on April 21st 2023." The game is currently confirmed only for the Epic Games Store, but there's still no date for a Steam release. Hopefully that will follow soon.
