It won't be long now until the horror remake is finally released. Now there have been a lot of new game scenes, mainly from the beginning episode of the game.
The remake is scheduled to be released exclusively for current gen systems, that is PS5 and Xbox Series X/S, as well as PC, on January 27th of next year. This will finally give one of the most popular horror games of all time a technically updated remake. The game is currently being worked on, while EA continues to release information and gameplay scenes for the game.
Now, however, 18 minutes of gameplay footage have followed, designed to get us in the mood for the game. These were published by IGN as part of their "First" reporting, so they can't be found anywhere else at the moment.
What is there to see?
The material shows the beginning of Dead Space, more precisely the approach to the mining spaceship USG Ishimura and the first contact with the terrifying Necromorph, which immediately decimate the exploration team. It also becomes clear which new features EA has implemented in the remake.
These include the fact that the main character Isaac Clarke speaks, the slightly modified level design and of course the completely new look based on the Frostbite engine. This is particularly evident in the better light and shadow effects and increased detail work. But compared to the 14-year-old predecessor, that wasn't difficult.
