Dead Space Remake - The return of a classic

The survival horror classic Dead Space is one of the most exciting and well-known representatives of its genre and has enjoyed a loyal fanbase for years. The fans are looking forward to a remake for the current generation of games and this wish has been fulfilled by the developer studio EA Motive. Dead Space will be released as a complete new edition and can captivate its fans and new players again.

Dead Space is about our protagonist Isaac Clarke, who works as a mechanic and specialist for technology and ship systems on the first space ship, the USG Ishimura. The story takes place in the year 2508 and the resources on Earth are scarce as ever. The task of the USG Ishimura is to plunder other planets and mine both valuable and rare resources. This should secure the survival of mankind and is at this time the only hope. Here you will meet other characters and a variety of horrifying space creatures, the so-called Nekromorphs. With these creatures you will not be able to chat nicely and drink tea, but you will have to remove them elegantly or primitively. For this you can use cult weapons such as the crowbar, the plasma cutter and co.

The original first part of the series was released on 14.10.2008 and celebrates its new debut after just under 13 years as a remake on PS5, Xbox Series X/S and PC.
In comparison to a remaster, in which only the texture resolution is turned up, the new version of the game was developed from scratch. The old, but still successful concept of the original was retained and transferred to the new generation of games in order to highlight the strengths even more.

Who is the remake of Dead Space suitable for?

With the Dead Space series, adults over the age of 18 are clearly addressed due to the brutality and the survival horror aspects. We do not recommend it for teenagers, children and people with weak nerves.

The then developer studio Visceral Games was closed by EA in 2017, which is why the responsibility for the new development of the remake of Dead Space has been transferred to the developer studio EA Motive. Other well-known games by EA Motive are "Star Wars: Battlefront II
