Hey friends of agent action, the time has finally come! The first major update for Deceive Inc., the "Misery Empire" catalog update, will be released soon and brings a lot of new content as well as exciting changes to the game. In this article, we'll give you an overview of the most important new features.
New Agent Red and Seasonal Catalog
The biggest surprise of the update is the introduction of a new agent named Red. This seductive rogue is not only visually stunning, but also a versatile addition to your team with her deadly arsenal and the brand new status effect "Charmed".
Along with the new agent, the first seasonal catalog "Misery Empire" awaits you, a noir-themed issue with many cool cosmetic items to unlock. By playing normally and earning XP, you can earn catalog tokens and spend them on rewards in the Season tab. But beware: there are both free and premium rewards, for which you must purchase the premium catalog.
Heat System and Changes for Team Play
The new Heat System is being introduced to curb reckless behavior on the battlefield. A bar under your health display fills up when you eliminate innocent NPCs. If you reach certain thresholds, you will receive penalties for taking out innocents.
In team mode, there are also some revisions: the Intel mission is now used once per team instead of per individual, and the revival mechanic has been adjusted so that each player can be revived three times, but with decreasing maximum health.
Other Important Changes
The Misery Empire update also brings many general changes and improvements, including:
- Jump changes for better predictability in close combat
- 30% XP bonus in solo matches
- Adjustment of character hitboxes
- Improvement of weapon recoil feel
- Audio adjustments for better combat location
