Season 4: Critical Corruption in Deep Rock Galactic
Attention miners! The new Season 4 of Deep Rock Galactic, "Critical Corruption", brings a lot of exciting new features and improvements to the game. From new enemies to jet boots and many other updates – there's a lot to discover. So buckle up and dive into the world of critical corruption!
New Enemies and Challenges
The already known Plague Hearts have evolved and are now known as Lithophage Corruptors. These new enemies are immune to normal firearms, so you'll have to use your cleaning equipment to break through their outer shells. Additionally, there are a number of new ROCKPOX enemies, such as the ROCKPOX Breeder, ROCKPOX Bomber, ROCKPOX Spitter, and ROCKPOX Exploder, all of which require their own special abilities and tactics to defeat.
Jet Boots and Space Rig Updates
You can now find high-performance jet modules in the caves. Attach them to your boots to create fully functional jet boots - a much-needed aid in difficult situations! Additionally, the Space Rig has been expanded and now offers a training terminal for the coded locks of the jet boot crates, as well as a slot machine.
New Beer and Random Loadouts
The new beer "Randoweisser" allegedly gives you a feeling of adventure and challenge, and randomizes all equipment and cosmetics for the duration of a mission. Additionally, there is now an option at the loadout terminal to make all your equipment and upgrades random. This allows you to quickly challenge yourself.
Other New Features and Improvements
Other updates include new enemies such as the Glyphid Stingtail and the Glyphid Septic Spreader, new music in the form of the track "Journey of the Prospector", weapon input buffers for semi-automatic weapons, and numerous weapon balance adjustments. Additionally, many bugs have been fixed and improvements made, such as prioritizing reviving a downed dwarf over shield reinforcement and optimizing shadows on the Space Rig.
