Destiny 2 - Root of Nightmares Contest Mode Raid

Once again, players of Destiny 2 have made history by successfully completing the latest challenge in the game, the Root of Nightmares Contest Mode Raid. Within 48 hours, an impressive 45,500 teams cleared the raid, which represents a significant increase compared to previous raid races. This year, Bungie extended the Contest Mode to 48 hours, giving players an extra day to complete the raid. This allowed players who were not available during the week to participate in the competition and complete the raid within the time limit.

Team Hard in the Paint Root won the Root of Nightmares Raid and defeated Nezarec in about two hours and 26 minutes, which is significantly faster compared to other World's First Raid Clear achievements. The players quickly understood the mechanics of the raid and were able to complete it quickly. Some teams completed the raid more than 20 times during this 48-hour period.

Although the raid is generally considered easy, only about 44% of Fireteams that started in Contest Mode were able to complete it within the 48-hour timeframe. However, the higher number of successfully completed raids could be attributed to the fact that this raid is shorter compared to previous raids, allowing teams to bypass the more complicated mechanics of the final encounter.

The increased completion rate of the raid comes at a time when there have already been discussions about the difficulty of Destiny 2 activities. Bungie recently made changes to the difficulty of Destiny 2 with the Lightfall Update to accommodate players who complained about content being too easy. Despite complaints about the Lightfall campaign content, Destiny 2 Season 20 has produced a number of exotic weapons that have alleviated some of the players' original complaints about the latest expansion of the multiplayer game.
